Tagaste House Introduction
Tagaste House or 'No 4' as it is known is a Drop in Centre for young people between 17 and 25 years of age.
The centre has an open-door policy, whereby all young people are welcome to use the service. The staff at Number 4 identify the needs of young people and work with them in a focused co-ordinated way to meet those needs. No. 4 is a venue of welcome, friendship and challenge. It is a place where an individual is given the opportunity to find a sense of their own self-worth, to become more self-confident and more self-reliant, and to overcome any difficulties that they may encounter.
We work with young people from all backgrounds including those from minority ethnic backgrounds, the travelling community, those accessing health and mental health services, direct provision hostels, homeless services, those seeking employment, early school leavers, single parent families, young people experiencing drug or alcohol problems, young people in the justice system and young LGBT people.
If a young person wishes to use the service they can drop by and have a chat with staff, alternatively, if an agency wishes to refer a young person to the service in a more formal way, they can fill up the application attached:
