Accompaniment
Over the past two years the need for an accompaniment service has grown and staff have needed to become increasingly flexible as a result. Some clients require practical help in accessing services, accommodation and tasks such as grocery shopping or visiting the dentist. Others have required support for court appearances, college open-days and applying for jobs. Efforts continue to ensure staff are available to accompany and assist with whatever tasks are required. Staff have also compiled a travel resource pack for accompaniment work so that service-users can have something to occupy them in situations where they have to spend time waiting for appointments, travelling etc. This consists of quiz books, puzzle books, snacks, comics/magazines as relevant to the particular service-user's interests.
