Aims and Objectives
- To provide a place of welcome and friendship for marginalized young people in a safe and confidential environment.
- To devise programmes and projects, which will empower, develop self-esteem and confidence in the young people using the service.
- To endeavour to provide a multi-disciplinary approach, which will holistically meet the young person's needs.
- Facilitate an atmosphere for open and honest discussion, and problem solving through group activities and teamwork.
- Promote a healthy and active attitude in the young people towards their community and environment.
- Provide opportunities for young people of different social, economic and cultural backgrounds so as to develop understanding and respect.
- Endeavour to provide appropriate responses to the needs of marginalized young people.
- Through the implementation of Health Promotion, we are striving to address the young persons basic health and nutrition needs.
- Actively encourage individual and collective ownership of Health Promotion.
- To recognise the need for guidelines and good practice for management, staff and volunteers in implementing Health Promotion activities.
- To guide and support all staff and volunteers in the Centre in implementing policy at all levels.
- To endorse and encourage inter-agency co-operation.
